Well the 2007 season is over we had a disappointing season.  We started out with lots of potential but failed to utilize it.  The team was talented but really lacked experience.  Only 2 players had played organized volleyball before.  Our original setter was a good volleyball player but not a good setter.  The setter i wanted to use did not have the confidence to play the position.  I should've listed to my instinct and forced him to start.  The big turning point was when we lost to Ignace our 3rd game.  Most of the season we out hit most of the teams we played but still, would somehow lose.  Overall the team improved right from day one until the end.  But it wasn't good enough in this competitive league.  we finished 2nd last.  Offensivley we were one of the better teams.  Our libero was very good but due to off court distractions i was forced to use him as one of my power hitters.  Often I could not field my best team on the court.  On the bright side most of these players are now ready to play senior boys and the returning players will be ready for next season.  My expectations for next years team will be higher.
