Mentors

I look up to anyone who over came any trials and tribulations in their life. Whatever those troubles were, they knew they were greater than them and succeeded in conquering them and I look up to that and admire those people!

Competition History

-Alberta Golden gloves 3 times, -Saskatchewan Golden Gloves, Western Canadian Championships, Canadian Championships, Alberta and Saskatchewan Provincial Championships, Wyoming Golden Gloves, Ringside World Championships 3 times, North American Indigenous Games. I plan to go win the Canadian Nationals in November in Richmond B.C. and go to the 2008 Olympics. I had offers to turn pro ,but i want to stay ametuer and persue my dreams to go to the Olympics. I also want to go to the 2012 Olympics. After Olympic dreams, I want to persue my dream of turning pro and winning a world title.

Personal Best

Winning my first provincials. I beat the provincial champ at the time ,with hard training and focus. He was 26 and well known and i was a relatively unknown 18 year old boxer and I dropped him twice and won the fight beating him. I have had alot of higher achievements ,but that one meant the most to me. I knocked out my opponent in Denver @ the Indigenous games in 2006 in the second round and won numerous Golden Gloves. I also was awarded a National Aboriginal Youth Sport Achievement award in Ottawa, along with Jonathan Cheechoo, and other young aboriginal athletes. Also attended as Special guests were Fred Sasakamoose, Gino Odjick, Billy Two Rivers and numerous other native role models.

Additional Comments

Dedication and Sacrifice are two very important aspects to me and I believe that these two (with other things) are keys to success. I have overcame battles in and out of the ring. One thing that kept me focused was the lord and knowing that i can be somewhere with this talent that God has given me and that i got it for a reason and i want to use it to the fullest until i can't do it no more. One thing that i overcame at a young age was when i was diagnosed with arthritis and could'nt walk for 2 years when i was 12 years old. some how just as quickly as the disease came, it left. I believe the lord was showing me what it would be like without the use of my legs and to share this expirience with others and now he gave me a second chance and i dont want to abuse it.
