New Media
The Chiefs and Champions New Media component is a dynamic online sports and social network for Aboriginal athletes, coaches, family and friends. An extension of the popular TV series broadcast on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN), the Chiefs and Champions website is a space where athletes and coaches can share their stores, showcase their accomplishments, interact and learn from a vibrant community of athletes, coaches and mentors.

The Television Series
Chiefs and Champions takes an intimate look at Aboriginal sport heroes, who besides being world-class athletes, have gone on to become important leaders, role models and advocates for their people.
 
As we retrace our ‘heroes’ past accomplishments and define what drives them into the future, we identify with their personal journeys and the universal struggle to greatness.
 
Through personal interviews, archival footage, re-enactment, photos and narration, we discover what it takes, both on and off the field of sport, to bring the torch of victory and humility back home to their community. Each episode includes interviews with family members and peers, reflecting the history and heartbreaks of our dedicated athlete, while also paying tribute to their relentless perseverance and spiritual dedication. For many, the perseverance through adversity has only made them stronger. 

We get to know each athlete: up close and personal.  We see their inner strength and resolve needed to reach goals that extend beyond the arena, field or sport. They have gained much more than just athletic success and respect. They are undeniably Chiefs and Champions.
 
 
The Production Company
Big Red Barn Entertainment and Good Medicine Media formed Tribute II Productions Inc. to produce the Television series Chiefs and Champions – Season II and the New Media component chiefsandchampions.ca
